Help us welcome our new Member Engagement and Operations Coordinator, Yatzi Garcia!
Originally from York, Pennsylvania, Yatzi traded rolling green hills for the flatlands of Texas where she worked for the State Bar of Texas. We lured her to Colorful Colorado with the promise of beautiful vistas and ample space to run, hike, and explore the mountains with her dog – all things she enjoys.
She is also passionate about equity and diversity and is inspired by strong women. Her parents were the first to show her how to defy cultural norms. They immigrated from Mexico, learned English, and raised their children to be equally resilient.
Yatzi says she has a huge interest in helping women of color from Hispanic origins and children of immigrants, in particular, because they face so many hurdles. As a first-generation college graduate herself, she is moved to be a mentor.
“Whenever I can offer someone advice, I try to. This is hard, but exciting work.”
Yatzi will help our CWCC members engage in programs and benefits and get the most out of their memberships. If you’d like to speak with her about upcoming events, programs, or other ways to engage, please reach out today and introduce yourself!
