The Why: Why do you do what you do/ why are you passionate about your work in our community?

The pursuit of justice and equity is apart of who I am. As a teen mom myself, I have been given so much. I do not take it for granted that I walk on the shoulder of giants and walk the paths paved for me by those that came before me. It is both a blessing and a responsibility to give back to my community. Community has been by network, my safety and my sanctuary no matter what I am doing in my career and life. At the foundation of any of my work will always be the heart of giving and do what I can to  make the world better for the next generation like so many did for me.
